" [...] We all have a right to feel what we feel and not be judged. [...]"
"The Return of Frankie Whittle" is my first novel by Caroline England that I have read. I like its dark cover, which says a lot about the content of this book.
The beginning of this story was difficult for me. There were moments when I wanted to put this novel down, unfortunately. Fortunately, I gave the author a chance and kept reading. I can safely say that the further it went, the better it got. I was even terrified at times. Caroline England stirred up a lot of emotions in me. Her heroine, thirty-one-year-old Frankie, does not have an easy life. Someone broke into her house. For her and her unborn child's safety, she had to escape it. Did she end up in the perfect place? You will have to find out for yourself. I will tell you that it will be rough. And the ending is an emotional Armageddon.
If you like discovering dark secrets, silences and understatements, then feel free to reach for "The Return of Frankie Whittle".
Here you will find topics such as: in vitro fertilization, pregnancy, miscarriage and coming to terms with loss.
Dark psychological thrillers have the thing about them that you have to read them.
I will gladly reach for other novels by this author.
If you knew the whole truth, would you behave like Frankie?
